Why I Designed LunaFlow

For years, I lived in a high-functioning, healthy-looking body — but I didn’t have a regular period. I was praised for being lean, disciplined, and active. But my cycle had disappeared.

When my period finally returned, I realized how few tools support women who want to stay active without sacrificing their hormonal health. LunaFlow is my response to that gap — a concept app that blends UX writing, cycle awareness, and performance support for women who move.

The Problem

Most period-tracking apps are built around fertility or symptoms. They often use mainly clinical language and rarely account for women who run, train, or lift regularly. These apps don’t consider the hormonal shifts experienced by active women — or how to support them.

There’s a missing link between physical performance and cycle health. LunaFlow fills that space.

The Goal

Design a wellness-focused mobile app that helps women:
- Align their workouts and meals with each phase of the menstrual cycle
- Support hormonal balance during and after recovery from amenorrhea or overtraining
- Understand their cycle in a way that empowers, not restricts
